Alex Fobbester, who is currently treading the boards in the West end musical version of Elf, Principal Miss Katherine is was extremely proud to be taken to see Alex recently in Elf.

CCDA were asked by the town council to provide performances for the shoppers, In Bishops walk arcade, during the Saturdays leading up to Christmas in December.
Altogether 70 plus children performed ranging from CCDA cheerleading groups, freestyle jazz, the intermediate, junior and Pre junior competition groups, CCDA performance group, as well as CCDAs Senior Musical Theatre group and our diddy 5-10 years musical theatre group. Fabulous performances from all. We were also treated to a demonstration of the new adult Solo Latin with South African ballerina, Miss Adri.
Annual Grade and vocational examinations were taken in Modern theatre dance, Tap dance, Classical Ballet by over 100 students.
Seasonal workshops were run for all age groups by guest teacher Miss Camilla in the CCDA dance basement studio.
CCDA Christmas party featured lots of food, party games, music, dancing and great fun.
November
November also saw CCDA take part in the nationwide Tapathon! We raised over £500 for Children in Need as part of a Guinness World Record attempt, this was great fun and followed by a shared lunch. Congratulations to all who took part.
Festival News –three festivals Jades, Rushton & Bristol were entered this term by our five competitive groups. Excellent results all round, with notable medals going to Ella, Isla & Molly, Pippa and Hollie. Well Done!
CCDA senior dancers joined guest teacher Miss Camilla who was hired to choreography a first wedding dance and provide the wedding entertainment, of dance the routines , getting a taste of professional contracts.
October
CCDA was once again asked to perform at The Kings Daughters conference in Cheltenham, this year the Intermediate competition group took part. The 10 strong group danced very effectively to Adele’s Love song, and even had time for a photoshoot afterwards.
September
The performance group, three festival groups danced at both the Phoenix festival in the Abbey grounds Cirencester, as well as Poulton village fete. The phoenix festival showed 2 days of Great performances in very inclement weather conditions, true troupers CCDA dancers. Poulton was a warm and sunny experience but just as much fun.
